APPRENTICE ELECTRICIAN

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under the guidance of a Journeyman or more senior level Electrician to assist in the installation, alteration, addition and/or repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites. The ideal candidate should work from a position of “Safety First Always” and utilize all safety equipment and training provided to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations. Benefits Competitive pay (weekly) Health, Dental, Vision, Life & other insurances available (after 60 days of service) 401(k) Plan w/matching available (after 1 year of service) Paid Time Off Overtime available Home every night (work is ONLY in the RGV) Requirements Core Responsibilities Gather & prepare necessary tools & materials to be used at job site Maintain a clean & safe work area & secure material, tools & equipment in appropriate storage areas at the end of the work day Utilize hand tools effectively for various tasks related to building and maintaining electrical systems Measure, cut, bend & install conduit & wire Install boxes & electrical devices Trace out short circuits Perform other project related duties assigned by crew leader or other senior electrician Desired Qualifications Must pass a drug screen High school diploma or equivalent Valid TDLR Apprentice License (or meet qualifications to obtain one) At least 1 year Commercial Electrical Experience preferred Have own hand tools; we will provide specialty tools Essential Skills Basic understanding of electrical principles and concepts Ability to accept constructive criticism, follow directions and collaborate effectively as part of a team Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and a commitment to safety #J-18808-Ljbffr D&F Industries, Inc.
