Sales Director - Data Center

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Based remotely, the Sales Director - Data Centers, is responsible for formulating and executing the business strategy to build the data centers business. Key responsibilities: * Define and implement a segment growth strategy for the Datacenter market, for both liquid and air cooling. * Create and execute the business plan, in line with the Americas Strategic Plan and budget targets. * Build solid relationships with customers, vendors, and distributors, as well as the sales and marketing teams.

• Lead business development and client relationship management teams.
• Understand industry dynamics, decision-making process and decision makers on

product specification and buying decisions. * Work collaboratively with Regional and Global Sales and Product Line Management leaders on new opportunities and needs of our customers. * Technology trends/technology shifts - understand how the industry requirements are changing and translate how it affects the utilization of Gates products (for example: immersion cooling, direct to chip cooling). * Developing and strengthening internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share. * Fostering and working to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams and work functions. * Monitor key competitors' performance; compare to our own performance and draw conclusions on areas of growth opportunities and/or identify competitive threats to the business. * Drive marketing efforts and market awareness of Gates Fluid Power and Power Transmission portfolio for different Data Center customers and Cooling Solution OEM, and Integrators. * Direct efforts to identify and map key players in the decision-making chain (Engineering Firm /Consultants /Owner & operators of data center and crypto sites / Developers & Integrators). * Assessing sales and marketing as well as supplier and vendor operations and recommending improvements as needed.

• Coordinating required efforts to respond to requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Developing and managing strategic partnerships to grow business.
• Presenting business or marketing opportunities to company executives and

management.

REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED SKILLS

You will have a successful track record of understanding the business, their priorities and what drives them. You will be innovative, focused on process improvement and enjoy working with a global team. In addition to strong organizational and communication skills, you should be team and customer focused and able to cultivate business relationships across the organization. * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering. Master’s Degree a plus.

• Minimum 15 years' experience of progressive experience in sales or marketing.
• Demonstrated experience leading a sales team and growing sales in the

Datacenter industry. * Existing network at leading companies in the Datacenter industry including Server OEM’s, Cooling OEM’s, Hyperscalers, Integrators, MEP Consultants, Engineering Firms and Contractors. * Significant knowledge of the industrial supply chain and leading companies supporting the infrastructure growth of Datacenters. * An expert in the Data Center segment, including a deep understanding of the segment's technical process needs and challenges. * An understanding of cooling technologies and trends in the liquid and air cooling market. * Strong planning and organizational skills. Proactive behavior. Results oriented. * Excellent communicator, both oral and written. Must possess the ability to design and conduct presentations. * Technical knowledge is considered an asset along with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience in a clear and concise manner. * Excellent time management and organizational skills along with strong attention to detail. * Strong relationship building and relationship management skills across functions and organizational levels.

• Excellent active listening and communication skills.
• Well-developed leadership skills and proven ability to work successfully

within a matrix environment.

• Proficient MS Office skills.
• Experience with CRM software and how to effectively utilize within a sales

organization.

• Languages: English, additional language(s) considered an asset.
• Travel: 40% or more.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company

• Full-Time
• Base Salary Range: $180,000 - $240,000
