RP4606:Plant Maintenance Worker

Must have experience maintaining and operating mobile equipment or machinery such as tugs, sweepers, forklifts, scissor/boom lifts. Experience in any combination of the following categories: Grounds-keeping Heavy janitorial Light commercial general maintenance Light mechanical repair and maintenance Must have a valid DMV driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintaining a Secret clearance.

PERFORMS SUCH TYPICAL DISTINGUISHING DUTIES AS: Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment and machinery which does not involve major disassembly or moving. Performs such operations as servicing, changing and repairing disc grinding, emery and buffing wheels, repairing and maintaining plant equipment such as handrails, safety guards, dollies, hand trucks and bench vises, replacing external machine bearings, repairing pump glands, replacing pulleys and belts, and making minor adjustments. Maintains plant/facility grounds performing such duties as repairing fences, maintaining signs, removing weeds, removing dirt and debris from culverts and drainage ditches, and cleaning fence lines. Operates rider-driven power sweepers on or off Company premises, where it is required to exercise a knowledge of traffic laws and regulations, of plant trucking safety rules, practices, procedures, and company area conditions. Exercises skill and caution when driving in confined areas or near buildings, parked vehicles, equipment, or aircraft. Makes operating and other adjustments necessary to maintain equipment in good working condition. Drives sweeper to disposal areas to empty hopper. Determines and reports need for changing brushes and other maintenance required to maintain equipment in reliable condition. PERFORMS SUCH RELATED DUTIES AS: Checks such items as water, gasoline, oil, and tire pressure. Operates tugs, forklifts, tractors, boom/scissor lifts, and plow when necessary. Must possess valid California driver's license. Must have experience maintaining and operating mobile equipment or machinery. Must have the ability to lift, move and carry heavy items (50 lbs.) and the ability to work at heights. Ability to obtain and maintain AFP42 airfield driver license. Must have a valid DMV driver's license. ***Must have ability to secure and retain a DoD Secret Clearance.***

Street Sweeping experience using commercial truck-mounted sweeping equipment. Light machinery repair. Extensive gardening and landscaping experience. Must be a self-starter with the ability to rapidly prioritize and adjust schedules to meet Facility needs.

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

9x80 every other Friday off

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

The base range for this position in California is $24.83 - $43.92.
