Registered Nurse CVICU

$1787.04/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized critical care to postoperative cardiac surgery patients in a 16-bed CVICU, ensuring optimal recovery and device management. Work collaboratively with a highly skilled team to deliver advanced patient care in a fast-paced, technologically equipped environment. Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive critical care to postoperative cardiac patients, including ECMO, LVADs, and device management. Perform advanced procedures such as central line and Swan-Ganz catheter insertions, intubations, and hemodynamic monitoring. Monitor patients using Phillips bedside telemetry and document accurately within Meditech system. Collaborate with intensivists, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including certifications in ACLS and BLS, ensuring patient safety at all times. Adapt to floating policies and assist other ICU units as needed to ensure smooth unit operations. Qualifications: Possess at least 2 years of critical care nursing experience, with specific CVICU background preferred. Demonstrate proficiency with PA catheter, hemodynamic monitoring, and device management including Impella and IABP. Hold current ACLS and BLS certifications. Be licensed or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in Tennessee. Show strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills.
