Role Summary

We are a growing environmental drilling company seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our collaborative and supportive accounting team. Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience (Construction industry experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of internal controls and accounting compliance
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate others and lead by example
• Multi-state construction accounting experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, assets, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, system efficiencies, and business practices
• Participate in strategic financial planning and special projects
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors to support successful audits and regulatory compliance
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to support sound business decisions
