The Apple Pay team is seeking an experienced product professional to improve the Apple Pay and Wallet user experience while enhancing the trust and safety of our users. Description The Apple Pay team is seeking a product manager who loves building products that are both innovative and easy to use. This role focuses on the end-to-end provisioning experience, developing new identification and verification features, and combating fraud. This role will be responsible for defining, building, and launching ground-breaking new features that protect users while reducing friction. You will guide teams leading complex, cross‑functional projects and drive progress by diving into technical details when needed while also thinking through the end-to-end experience — from a user tapping “Add Card” to an issuer's risk decision in milliseconds. We are looking for a motivated candidate who wants to build great customer experiences and invent the future of identity and fraud prevention. Responsibilities Guide teams across Human Interface, Engineering, Legal, Business Development, Marketing, Analytics, and Operations, leading intricate cross‑functional projects. Drive innovation in provisioning and fraud prevention that protects users while reducing friction. Help envision and build new strategies, roadmaps, and product features for the provisioning and risk platform. Drive progress by evangelizing product strategy to build alignment across executives, colleagues, and external partners. Challenge assumptions and deliver solutions first and foremost with Apple’s customers in mind despite the complexity that is often behind the scenes. Drive go‑to‑market planning and execution, ensuring readiness across all partners and optimizing for measurable impact. Drive adoption and collaborate with strategic partners — Networks, Issuers, Merchants, and other ecosystem players — on product development. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of Product Management experience building and launching consumer products with designers, engineers, and data scientists Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives spanning engineering, design, marketing, and legal Technical foundation, with the ability to engage with engineering teams and understand system‑level tradeoffs Expertise with payment and identity technology end to end, including card provisioning, identification and verification (ID&V), tokenization, device and behavioral signals, fraud detection, dispute and chargeback flows Fluency with payment ecosystem players’ roles and strategies (Networks, Issuers, token service providers) Ability to synthesize complex topics, drive alignment, and communicate effectively with senior leadership Preferred Qualifications Proven ability to impact provisioning and fraud business metrics, such as provisioning approval and step‑up rates, fraud rate, and account takeover Working knowledge of how machine learning is applied to risk decisioning — including signal design, model evaluation, and the tradeoffs between precision, recall, and user friction Familiarity with the regulatory environment shaping authentication and provisioning (e.g., 3‑D Secure, SCA, evolving identity standards) Track record of operational excellence — defining processes, managing program execution, and delivering results with consistency and rigor Experience working across multiple product areas within a platform or ecosystem MBA or advanced degree a plus At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
