We're currently partnering with a well-established trailer manufacturer in Plant City that has been building high-quality dump trailers, transfer trailers, truck bodies, and suspension systems for over 20 years. Known for their commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and quality, they are looking to add a  Trailer Maintenance Mechanic to their team.

As the Trailer Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining dump trailers and heavy-duty truck equipment. From troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to replacing components and performing preventative maintenance, you'll play a key role in ensuring trailers are operating safely, reliably, and ready to get back to work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on dump trailers, transfer trailers, dump bodies, hydraulic systems, fifth wheels, and related truck equipment
• Install and replace trailer components including hydraulic cylinders, hoses, brakes, suspension components, electrical wiring, lights, air systems, and other mechanical assemblies
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure trailers operate safely and efficiently
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify and correct equipment failures
• Read work orders, installation manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics to complete repairs and installations accurately
• Perform light MIG welding and fabrication as needed to repair trailer components or modify equipment
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, drills, grinders, and other shop equipment
• Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet quality standards and customer specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Assist other departments as needed to support production and service operations

Who We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a trailer mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, diesel mechanic, truck equipment installer, or similar mechanical role required
• Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently
• Previous MIG welding or fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure, installation manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings
• Must provide your own basic hand tools (company provides power tools)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb, kneel, crouch, bend, and stand for extended periods

What You Can Expect

• $18.00 - $22.00/hr, depending on experience
• Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm, and Friday, 6:00am - 3:30pm
• Occasional Saturdays as needed
