Assistant Executive HousekeeperThe Assistant Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for assisting in managing the Housekeeping functions and staff on a daily basis to ensure property guest rooms, public space, and team member areas are clean and well maintained. This person will inspect areas of responsibilities and follow up with a plan for improving results. Furthermore, this role directs and works with the team to successfully execute all housekeeping operations, striving to continually improve guest and team member satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department. The ideal candidate for this role would be highly detail oriented and meticulous with a strong ability to connect and engage with team members and guests alike.Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards, and proceduresUnderstand the importance of department's operation on overall property operationsReview staffing levels to ensure the guest housekeeping, operational needs, and financial objectives are metObtain list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignmentsInventory stock to ensure adequate suppliesSupervise an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaceEnsure all team members have proper supplies, equipment, and uniformsCommunicate areas that need attention and follow up to ensure completionParticipate in departmental meetings and continually communicate a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired resultsUtilize available on the job training tools to train new room attendants and provide follow-up training as neededEstablish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with team membersSchedule team members to business demands and track team member time and attendanceEnsure property policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to policyObserve behaviors of team members and provide feedback to individualsEnsure team member recognition is taking placeParticipate in interviewing and hiring of team members with the appropriate skillsEmpowers team members to provide excellent customer housekeepingEmphasize guest satisfaction and focus on continuous improvementRespond to and handle guest problems and complaintsRequirements:High school degree (or equivalency) with Hotel or College training preferredA minimum of 3 years housekeeping supervisor experience in a full housekeeping hotelA strong understanding of operational controls, budgeting, forecasting, and schedulingStrong oral and written communication skillsExperience working in a labor organized environment preferredOrganizational skills and attention to detailProficient in the use of Microsoft Office and customer management platformsExcellent time managementAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong leadership and communication skillsAn aptitude for self-motivationA can-do attitude and a hands-on approachA flexible schedule that allows availability days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel
