Structural Engineer [82894]

A leading design and manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support their innovative team. This role is based in the Bay Area with hybrid work arrangements and travel requirements. The position focuses on advanced structural design and project management. Responsibilities: Design foundational and structural components for residential projects, ensuring they meet design and safety standards. Develop detailed permit and construction documentation to support project approval and execution. Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to produce integrated, buildable designs. Monitor construction progress through site visits, and respond to RFIs and submittals. Innovate by creating tools and systems to improve design and documentation workflows. Prepare and review analytical calculations to validate design integrity and compliance with codes. Coordinate with project managers to maintain project schedules and deliverables. Conduct field inspections to verify construction accuracy and adherence to design specifications. Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of experience designing light-framed wood systems, architectural steel elements, and foundations. Licensed Civil PE in California. Proficiency with BIM systems such as Revit. Ability to develop engineering tools and streamline processes. Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally with various teams. Experience with seismic design and code compliance in California. Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally-friendly structural design practices. Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
