You will work in a professional corporate setting with a predictable weekday schedule and the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of patient flow, clinic readiness, supplies, referrals, and onsite processes.This is a strong next step for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys patient care, stays ahead of operational details, and is ready to serve as a dependable onsite resource for the broader clinical and operations teams.Why This Role Stands OutCompetitive annual pay of $72,000–$80,000Consistent Monday–Friday daytime scheduleProfessional outpatient environment in downtown San FranciscoA hands-on role that combines patient care with site-level responsibilityOpportunity to improve workflows and help shape the day-to-day patient experienceBenefits include 401(k), paid time off, paid sick leave, and a health insurance stipendConvenient access via BART, Muni, Transbay buses, ferry service, and Caltrain connectionsWhat You Will DoPatient CareWelcome and room patients, obtain vital signs, and document intake information.Perform venipuncture, specimen collection and handling, point-of-care testing, and EKGs.Administer vaccines when appropriately trained and qualified, and only under required written authorization and onsite supervision.Prepare examination rooms and assist licensed providers with permitted patient-care activities.Support referrals, follow-up coordination, and patient instructions as directed by the appropriate licensed provider.Maintain accurate clinical and operational documentation in the EHR.Recognize and promptly escalate clinical questions, patient-safety concerns, and matters outside Medical Assistant scope.Site OperationsCoordinate daily patient flow, health-center readiness, and routine staffing logistics.Serve as a reliable onsite operational contact for PRN staff, schedule updates, and new-hire support.Track referrals, follow-up items, supplies, inventory, equipment, and vendor needs.Support recurring team meetings, maintain action items, and communicate operational risks or unresolved needs.Help maintain consistent workflows, policies, checklists, infection-control practices, and privacy standards.Assist with scheduling, front-desk coverage, patient communications, educational activities, and health-center events as needed.What You BringAt least 3 years of Medical Assistant or comparable outpatient clinical experience.Completion of Medical Assistant education or training that meets applicable California requirements, with demonstrated competency for the duties assigned.A recognized Medical Assistant credential such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA is welcomed but is not required by California law.Strong, current phlebotomy experience and the ability to perform venipuncture confidently and independently.Current BLS/CPR certification.Documented injection training and demonstrated competency sufficient to perform vaccine administration under applicable California requirements.Experience with patient intake, vital signs, specimen collection, EKGs, point-of-care testing, vaccine administration, and routine ambulatory support.Previous lead, coordinator, site-operations, or similar experience.Strong organization, communication, patient-service, and problem-solving skills.Comfort coordinating multiple workflows, working independently onsite, and escalating concerns appropriately.Experience with EHR systems and standard office technology.Reliable ability to commute to San Francisco, CA 94105 for the full scheduled shift.Important: Recent, hands-on phlebotomy experience and vaccine administration are essential functions of this position. Applicants must be able to provide documentation supporting the education, training, and demonstrated competency required for their assigned duties.California Scope and SupervisionMedical Assistants perform permitted technical-support services within their documented training and competency. Vaccine administration and other injections are performed only pursuant to appropriate patient-specific or standing orders and with an authorized licensed practitioner physically present in the treatment facility, as required by California law.
