Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• A valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state of South Carolina, or the ability to obtain one before the start date
• Experience supporting students with a range of learning, behavioral, and developmental needs
• Classroom teaching expertise at early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school levels
• Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills to liaise with families, colleagues, and support staff
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

In this role, you’ll be expected to:

• Deliver creative and adaptive instruction aligned with IEPs
• Assess student progress and modify approaches to meet evolving needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school and district standards
• Collaborate with general education teachers and participate in IEP meetings
• Engage in professional development and contribute to a team-oriented school atmosphere
