Nom Wah Nolita is hiring for a Team Supervisor position in SoHo, New York City. Base pay starts at $22/hr.

Situated in New York's Nolita neighborhood ("North of Little Italy"), Nom Wah Nolita is a fast-casual restaurant. Opened in September 2016, this location features self-service ordering systems, traditional dim sum, and a new take on Chinese food. Blending Chinese flavors and American ideas, dishes take a forward-thinking approach.

Job Description

We seek a motivated Kitchen Team Supervisor with a commitment to upholding quality standards and aims to grow with our brand. The candidate is motivated to deliver great service to our customers and maintain high culinary standards. The Team Supervisor oversees the management of the team at our Delancey St fast casual restaurant located inside the Market Line. The Team Supervisor will report directly to the Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Training employees
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Understand and execute menu items
• Detail oriented; uncompromising attention to food quality and kitchen maintenance
• Maintain inventory of products and collateral supplies
• Maintain a positive work environment and strong sense of teamwork in an open kitchen
• Ability to delegate work among employees in a logical, efficient manner
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate business needs
• Opportunity for growth within the company to new locations and positions

Qualifications

Bachelor or Associate Degree

Must have a NYC Food Handler's License

1+ year(s) of experience managing staff to accomplish sales and guest service goals

Experience in a food service environment

Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical and business management skills

Excellent communication, leadership and team-building skills

Familiarity with Google Workspace applications

Familiarity with Asana (preferred but not required)

Availability to work a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and some holidays

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
