Manufacturing Engineer

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Electrical Infrastructure division in Mascoutah, IL.

What Will You Do?

* Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and production methods.

* Lead manufacturing improvement projects focused on efficiency, quality, capacity, and cost reduction.

* Analyze production processes and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.

* Lead root cause investigations for manufacturing and quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.

* Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews for new and existing products.

* Develop and validate tooling, fixtures, automation solutions, and manufacturing systems.

* Conduct process capability studies, equipment qualifications, and process validations.

* Manage engineering change implementation and maintain manufacturing documentation.

* Participate in capital equipment selection, installation, and startup activities.

* Collaborate with quality, maintenance, operations, supply chain, and product development teams.

* Train and mentor production personnel.

* Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Manage TPM activities, equipment spare parts, and maintenance contractor relationships to maintain reliable and efficient facility operations.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, , Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience

* Minimum 3 to 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Experience leading process improvement projects.

* Experience with manufacturing automation and CAD systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Thorough understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and production systems.

* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

* Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities.

* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.

* Working knowledge of process validation and statistical analysis techniques.

* Effective leadership and mentoring abilities.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
