Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a cardiac stepdown unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
• Perform telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation, Doppler assessments, and peritoneal dialysis care
• Conduct vital sign checks and blood glucose checks independently as part of routine patient assessment
• Serve in a charge nurse capacity as required by the unit
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Charge nurse experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a cardiac stepdown or telemetry setting
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis procedures
• Experience with EKG interpretation and Doppler assessments
