Description: COVID vaccination required - religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of COVID exemption form, signed by a provider for medical. Position / Specialty: PT Inpatient Shift: 5x8-Hour (09:00 - 17:30). Types of Cases: Adults, Adolescents, Geriatrics. First-timers accepted: Yes, with acute inpatient experience. Number of cases a day: 8. Weekend REQ: Yes, 2 weekend shifts a month. Certifications Required: BLS, NM License. Is on-call REQ? No. Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No. Open to accommodating block schedule? No. Locals accepted: No locals within 100 miles. Pending State License accepted: NM license can pend at time of submission. RTO Restrictions: Greater than 7 days needs approval.

Unit Info: Focus for total joints is same day discharge with last eval starting at 5:00PM; Diagnoses include but not limited to: Falls, CVA, Trauma, PNA, ETHO withdrawal, TKA, THA, ORIF, ortho, PE, sepsis, UTI, respiratory failure, liver failure, kidney failure, wounds.

Type of Facility: Community-based hospital. Magnet/Teaching/Level Trauma: Level III Trauma Center, Level I Teaching facility. Total Staffed Beds: 65 Inpatient, 12 ICU. Scrub Color: Black scrub pants and red shirt. Charting: Cerner. Parking Cost: Free.

New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks. A 6 month break is required for any travelers that have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached their one year mark, whichever comes first.

Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics. Daily Census: 65. Number of Visits Per Day: 8. Number of Rooms: 65. Additional Unit Information: Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy.

Special Procedures/Unit Details: Focus for total joints is same day discharge with last eval starting at 5:00PM. **** This would be for inpatient. Includes ICU and med-surg. We also send total joint replacements home same day, so those would be included too.

Special Equipment: Ratios: N/A no call or floating requirements.

Shifts: 12-hour shifts. Ask: Most units offer 36 or 48 hours. Experience: 1-2 years minimum. Can Screen: Some units may consider less. Length: 10 weeks minimum (New & Ext). Limits: After 1 year or 4 consecutive contracts, 6-month system break required (whichever occurs first). Return (Perm) Staff: 12-month separation required. Modules: Modules are billable up to 6 hours, any time spent on modules beyond 6 hours is non-billable. Clinicians may spend up to 12 hours completing modules, especially those in higher acuity specialties. Modules are completed during orientation, and annually. Modules are recorded via Unit Educators through learning central. EKG testing: Pass/Fail, 2 tries max; 6-month system DNR if failed 2x. See special instructions for list of units. Eligibility: ER needs prior travel experience. 6-month break after 1 year or 4 assignments. Former staff: 12 months of separation required. OT: Must be approved by client before being worked. Preceptor Pay: Not offered.
