Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant supports the accuracy and integrity of True Religion's financial records across the full monthly close cycle - from journal entries and accruals through reconciliations, compliance filings, and audit support. This role sits at the intersection of core accounting operations and cross-functional partnership, working alongside teams across retail, e-commerce, wholesale, and corporate operations to ensure financial data is complete, timely, and reliable. It is a strong fit for someone who wants genuine ownership of accounting functions at a growing global brand with meaningful international scope.The Role (What You Are Accountable For):Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and monthly accounting transactions to support an accurate and timely monthly and year-end closeReconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring completeness and accuracy across all assigned accountsSupport the timely preparation and reporting of monthly financial information in accordance with U.S. GAAPMonitor and manage personal property tax filings, including reconciling tax liability accounts to payments and filed returnsManage Concur/AMEX corporate credit card expense reconciliationReconcile international intercompany accounts across assigned entitiesPrepare and process UK and Belgium VAT filings and reconciliationsPrepare, record, and monitor monthly royalty expense accruals in accordance with active licensing agreementsWork closely with external financial auditors to support the successful completion of audited financial statementsSupport the department with special projects and workflow process improvement initiatives as assignedYou Are:A detail-oriented accountant who takes ownership of the close process and follows through without needing to be managed. You are comfortable with the full range of general ledger work - journal entries, reconciliations, tax filings, intercompany accounts - and you communicate clearly with cross-functional partners when questions arise. You bring strong Excel skills, a solid GAAP foundation, and a collaborative mindset to a team where your work directly impacts the accuracy and credibility of financial reporting.Required Minimum Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting3-5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or a related accounting roleStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principlesAdvanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulasExperience with an ERP systemStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple reconciliations, filings, and projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environmentDetail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a track record of accuracy in high-volume accounting workAdditional Role Information:Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this role is $75,000 – $80,000. This is a full-time, exempt position. This range represents the low and high ends of the expected base salary range for this role based on the applicable location. True Religion reasonably expects to pay within this range in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
