Staff Accountant

Their desire to make things happen has made Big Brand Tire & Service a leader in tires and automotive service.Compensation - $32-$38 / hr Location - Moorpark, CAResponsibilities And Duties May Include:Reconcile bank statements and track daily banking activity.Prepare account reconciliations including researching and resolving any reconciling items.Assist with the month-end close process including journal entries and variance analysis.Assist with financial statement preparation and other financial and statistical data reports, in accordance with GAAP.Ensures confidentiality of financial data and customer records.Property Tax reporting, Sales and Use tax reporting.Assist with preparation of audit supporting schedules for external auditors.Develops, implements, and monitors systems for general accounting.Analyzes, reviews, and audits overall general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable systems.Requirements:Bachelor's degree with an Accounting major1-3 years accounting experienceMicrosoft Excel intermediate levelGreat Plains software experience preferredCommitment to excellence and high standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with all levels of managementStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflowVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmBenefits:Medical, Dental and Life insurance401k plan with company matchPaid vacation and 6 paid holidaysVision, Accidental and Voluntary Life insurance plansBig Brand Tire & Service is a one-stop tire and automotive repair service center that has been in business for over 50 years.
