Physical Security System Administrator

Overview Unlimited Technology (UT) is a cyber and physical security specialty contractor with offices throughout the United States. UT Government is looking to add a Physical Security System Administrator to their team. The System Administrator will support a large Federal Physical Security Access Control and Video systems. This position requires a five‑day a week onsite resource located in the Washington DC metro area and obtaining a government clearance. Responsibilities Provide technical support for system platform with associated components and environments, including installing and rebuilding servers and workstations, configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and operational requirements. Provide hands‑on support with Windows enterprise server administration (2022/2025), as well as Windows 11, including patching/updates of systems and system builds. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes; reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Investigate, troubleshoot, and fix hardware and software availability and performance issues. Support operation of software applications and databases. Administer user account properties, single sign‑on, and network security configurations. Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures. Qualifications 5+ years of experience providing technical support to software applications. Proven experience with Windows Administration, including but not limited to working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, Windows Domain Controllers and domain administration, WSUS administration and operation, Windows Hyper‑V operation, Active Directory administration, Group Policy administration, and DNS administration. Basic LAN concepts and strong understanding of TCP/IP and other network protocols, network configuration and management. Demonstrated proficiency in new technologies, strong troubleshooting/problem‑solving skills, and effective written and oral communication skills. Aptitude for and willingness to learn new technologies; willingness to conduct self‑paced, self‑directed study. Physical Security System experience (Gallagher, Genetec, Lenel, Software House, etc.). Experience configuring and managing Gallagher Access Control system software. Experience configuring and managing Milestone Systems. Experience with compliance efforts, including writing policies and documenting processes. Benefits Health, dental, and vision coverage.
