Medical Receptionist

Join our ophthalmology practice as a Medical Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in patient interaction and clinic operations. You will manage scheduling, assist with basic medical testing after training, and provide excellent customer service within a close-knit team. This position offers standard daytime hours, with the opportunity for full-time benefits including health and dental insurance, retirement matching, and paid holidays.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations
  • Handle phone inquiries with a pleasant and professional tone
  • Assist with basic ophthalmic medical tests such as OCT, visual fields, and ophthalmic photography after training
  • Check in patients and maintain accurate records
  • Process insurance information and data entry efficiently
  • Deliver outstanding customer service ensuring patient satisfaction

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in medical reception

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in ophthalmology or optometry office
