The Role
- Lead day-to-day hospital operations for support departments, fostering trust, teamwork, accountability, and service excellence
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train administrative and technical staff; manage new hire documentation
- Build schedules for administrative and technical teams; coordinate with veterinarians to support clinical flow
- Provide coaching and performance reviews; address personnel issues professionally and promptly
- Manage labor goals, monitor timekeeping, and ensure compliance with overtime policies
- Oversee budgets, purchasing, vendor relationships, and facility maintenance
- Ensure accurate daily financials, billing practices, charge capture, and local accounting functions
- Administer inventory systems, ordering, and controls to meet clinical demand efficiently
- Maintain compliance with applicable licensure displays, policies, and practice standards
- Partner closely with hospital leadership on revenue, labor, and operational priorities
- Support client service excellence and assist with escalated client concerns as needed
- Uphold safety, incident reporting, and documentation standards

Requirements
- License to practice in Tennessee (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health science, or related field preferred
- Minimum five years of office management experience, including two years in a supervisory role; equivalent experience considered
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice-management software
- Strong communication, organization, time management, and decision-making skills
- Flexibility to work some weekends and holidays; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around animals and cleaning materials as needed
