About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical services at its long-term acute care hospital. The CNO will be responsible for managing and supervising clinical staff, ensuring that the competency, numbers, and staff levels are appropriate to meet the needs of patients. This role involves promoting the quality of nursing care, operating under professional standards, and integrating nursing services into the organization's quality assessment and performance improvement program. The CNO will also be a key member of the leadership team, driving quality initiatives, and fostering a positive work environment. Candidates for the CNO position at the company's long-term acute care hospital should have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, with an MSN preferred, and current RN licensure. A minimum of 3 years' direct patient care experience in a LTACH or acute care setting, with a preference for LTACH experience, is required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' nursing management experience and demonstrate the ability to define and prioritize goals, manage multiple priorities, and build a high-morale team. Skills in financial management, human resources, and a strong customer orientation are essential. The CNO will be expected to be a champion for change, with the ability to communicate effectively, and to work with all levels of management to ensure the best possible care for patients.
