What You'll Do

• Assist in cardiothoracic surgeries alongside surgeons, RNs, and other support staff
• Provide perioperative patient care in a busy cardiothoracic surgery department
• Support complex procedures using advanced equipment, including robotic systems
• Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR system
• Participate in patient assessments, pre- and post-operative care
• Ensure compliance with all licensure and hospital protocols

What You Need

• Wisconsin State Physician Assistant license
• Board Certification as a PA
• 2+ years of experience, including 1 year in CVOR cardiac surgery as a first assist
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• DEA registration
• Strong skills in perioperative support and complex cardiac procedures

About the Assignment This assignment is located at a leading hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, specializing in cardiothoracic surgery. The role involves supporting adult patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and working with a collaborative team. Credentialing is expected within 60 days.
