Job Summary:
An ICU Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is sought for a position in Springfield, Illinois. This role entails providing specialized care within the surgical intensive care unit, managing complex neurological and multisystem conditions. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois nursing license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Springfield, Illinois

• Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts (1845-0715), minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois RN license, minimum of 1 year of ICU experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, Cerner charting system experience, minimum 18 months of unit-specific experience, all certifications and licensure must be active and in hand at submission.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (must be AHA or Red Cross certified; RQI cards not accepted)
• Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Management of multisystem organ failure, Neuro ICU, ICP monitoring, Infection Prevention, Interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, Lumbar drains, Management of dysrhythmias, Neuro ICU, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Post Craniotomy/Post Neurosurgery, Procedural Sedation, Spinal cord injury, Ventilator Management, among others.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend, work and float within scope to other ICUs as needed, and comply with mandatory module completion and onboarding requirements.
• Experience: No prior experience required beyond the minimum specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within hospital or to affiliated facilities.
• Start Date: June 15, 2026
• Other Conditions: Travel experience required; must have IL license in hand; no more than 5 days of RTO preferred; candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
