Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, working night shifts with floating requirements.

Details

• Surgical ICU (SICU) in a 562-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet facility
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating is required for all travelers — within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Charting via Cerner
• Scrubs: any solid color
• On-site parking is available at no cost

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — must be active; AHA or Red Cross accepted (RQI AHA cards not accepted)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
• Travel pairs are not accepted
• RTO of 5 days or fewer is pre-approved; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 13-week contract
