Employee Relations Generalist, West Coast

You are an objective investigator with experience handling employee investigations and concerns, navigating the performance management lifecycle, and a passion for providing coaching and counseling to both employees and leaders. What You’ll Do: Support the Michael Kors Retail North America team, developing effective relationships with team members and people leaders to promote positive employee relations. Provide consultation, guidance, and coaching solutions to field teams to ensure the appropriate handling and resolution of employee relations issues and advise on policies and procedures. Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints, tracking cases through internal case management software. Recommend and approve performance management action plans in partnership with the legal department. Manage the disciplinary process for employees and administer corrective action in partnership with field leadership. Gather and analyze employee relations data and help to identify trends. Identify training and development needs to enhance employee experience and performance. Maintain compliance and understanding with federal and state regulations concerning employment practices. Conduct exit interviews of voluntary terminations; analyze trends and recommend solutions Produce reporting on exit interviews, hotline calls, and corrective action documents. Handle confidential information appropriately and escalation issues as needed. Assist in special projects when necessary. You’ll Need to Have: 2-3 years of progressive HR experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, or related HR function Experience in handling employee relations issues and dealing with labor laws Knowledge and practical application of all HR disciplines and practices Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflict.
