Attorney

This is a Lead Attorney role responsible for managing all phases of litigation for assigned cases, from initial case assessment through trial. This role requires a seasoned litigator with the ability to independently drive complex cases forward while collaborating with and mentoring junior legal staff. The Lead Attorney serves as the primary advocate for clients and plays a central role in shaping litigation strategy, maintaining client relationships, and achieving favorable outcomes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Oversee and manage all stages of the litigation process for assigned cases, including case assessment, discovery, motions, depositions, and trial. Prepare and conduct depositions for clients and witnesses. Formulate trial strategies, prepare witnesses, and advocate for clients during court proceedings. Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft compelling motions, pleadings, and legal briefs. Foster and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring they are well-informed about case progress and fully understand the litigation process, especially any important developments in their cases. Collaborate effectively with junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, offering mentorship and guidance. Manage team: oversee junior attorneys and legal staff; meet with team at least weekly to ensure all court appearances are covered, all deadlines will be met, and to set goals. Negotiate settlements, when applicable, aiming to secure the most favorable outcomes for clients. Make sure all staff are inputting information into Neos properly. Documents are linked, saved in the right spot, notes are kept up to date, etc. Make sure clients are contacted every 60 days. Ensure team is making checklist items and working on them daily Make sure plaintiffs are being properly prepared for their depositions Overall moving case to trial. Make sure all necessary records have been requested and received, especially before client deposition. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION Minimum of 10 -15 years of litigation experience. Proven experience in personal injury litigation.
