Role Description This full or part-time on-site Licensed Massage Therapist role is based at a MassageLuXe spa in Ann Arbor, MI. The Licensed Massage Therapist provides high-quality bodywork services tailored to clients’ needs, including relaxation and therapeutic massage sessions, while maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere. Daily responsibilities include consulting with clients to understand their goals and concerns, recommending appropriate massage modalities, and documenting each session in accordance with spa policies and applicable regulations. The role also involves supporting membership-based services by educating clients on available packages, promoting regular self-care, and collaborating with spa team members to ensure a smooth, guest-focused experience. Therapists are expected to uphold sanitation and safety standards, follow all state licensing requirements, and contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion. Qualifications Strong client-facing skills, including Customer Service and the ability to create a welcoming, professional spa experience. Proficiency in Therapeutic Massage and Body Massage techniques to address client relaxation, pain relief, and wellness goals. Experience or training in specific modalities such as Shiatsu or other complementary massage techniques. Ability to support clients with Stress Management through appropriate massage approaches and clear communication. Current state licensure as a Massage Therapist in Michigan and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology and adherence to industry standards for draping, ethics, and professional boundaries. Reliability in maintaining schedules, punctuality, and accurate client records within a membership-based environment.
