Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Technician Duration: 12 months Location: Portland, OR; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Pittsburgh, PA Schedule: Mon-Fri (08:00 AM - 05:00 PM) Job Description Life Safety Systems (Security) Systems Designer. We’re looking for a designer excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our client’s business. Designers are responsible for the delivery of complex packages in coordination with multidisciplinary engineers and design leads that form the core of our Life Safety Systems delivery team. Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP, you’ll create a 3D model space in coordination with architects and engineers. From those 3D BIM models, you will design Security Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection systems. In addition to modeling work, designers perform calculations, apply NFPA and ICC codes, and other standards to model content, and specify equipment at the direction of the engineering staff. Qualifications – External High school graduate or equivalent At least 3‑5 years of AutoCAD experience (preferably Revit experience) Systems design experience with Security Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection systems NICET Security certification ASIS International Advanced Security Worldwide certification Manufacturer’s equipment certifications Ideally, You’ll Also Have 3‑5 years of systems design experience Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code Knowledge of security systems and manufacturer’s equipment Industrial design experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Spectraforce Technologies
