Location: 20805 Eaton Ave, Farmington, MN 55024-7932 Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 5:00am – 5:00pm (Weekend Shift) Pay: $26.35 – $29.43 per hour Responsibilities Inspect materials to ensure products meet established quality standards and quantities are correct for each order. Perform final machining, finishing, and assembly operations on aluminum poles. Perform drilling, painting and component installation on aluminum poles. Bundle, crate, box, and wrap products to be shipped. Load truck with finished product. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work both in a non‑temperature controlled environment and outdoors. Complete other duties as required and/or assigned. Important Details about the Role The employee is responsible for their own work and must work with other employees to complete job tasks. The employee must maintain a safe and productive work environment, delivering a quality product that is shipped complete and on time to satisfy customer needs. Ability to work with wood and small hand tools such as tape measures, saws, drills, riveters, and nail guns is required. The employee has a direct impact on safety, quality, productivity, total manufacturing expenses (TME), and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Shipping Lead. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. One year of experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Ability to calculate simple mathematics, interpret shop drawings, and perform basic arithmetic calculations. Ability to read and work with prints, drawings, and work documents. Ability to accurately take measurements using close‑tolerance measuring instruments. Acceptable attendance and prior employment record. Ability to work in a team environment with a diverse group of people. Pay attention to detail and follow work instructions. Wear required PPE and follow facility safety regulations. Maintain a safe and productive working environment. Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess 1–3 years of experience in a shipping/receiving position. Familiarity with radial saws, hand tools, overhead cranes and general shop safety. Excellent communication and positive interaction with coworkers. Passion, integrity, drive to excel and deliver exceptional results. High awareness for safety at all times. Working Conditions & Physical Efforts Job performed in an indoor shop environment with temperature ranging from 100°F in summer to about 50°F in winter. Exposure to wind, cold, heat, dust, dirt, fumes, noise, vibration, water, and oil. Exposure to electrical hazards, grease, loud noises, and outside elements. Use safety glasses, hearing protection, and metatarsal safety shoes at all times. Employee must be able to spend the entire shift on their feet within the shop environment. Hazards include handling metal objects with sharp edges, slips, falls, strains, pinch points, tripping hazards, shot blasting equipment, high‑pressure air nozzles, and material handling equipment.
