Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Therapist in Auburn, WA

Step into a rewarding contract role providing speech and language services to students for the 2026-2027 school year. This position focuses on delivering individualized assessments, therapy, and consulting support primarily for elementary-aged students, with some involvement at the high school level. You'll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference across three sites, working 35-38 hours per week, supporting the district's commitment to special education and positive student outcomes.


Key Qualifications:

• Active Washington SLP license required
• Skilled in assessment, evaluation, and collaboration within school settings
• Experience (or strong interest) in pediatrics and school-based SLP roles, including SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, and SLP-healthcare experience
• Previous school-based experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of the special education process and procedures, including expertise in IEP development and service delivery
• Exceptional communication skills, fostering effective, positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Flexible mindset, with the ability to foster engagement through lightheartedness and creativity in practice
• Capacity to consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide services based on IEP requirements, including speech and language assessment, intervention, and documentation
• Work across three school sites, delivering direct and indirect support
• Consult and collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to optimize student achievement
