As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and documenting security-related activity. You will provide outstanding customer service and communication while using computer or tablet systems to support daily operations. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat09:00 PM - 05:00 AMSun09:00 PM - 05:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and driver check-in processes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures. Control access to restricted areas, support the flow of inbound and outbound deliveries, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
