As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide clear communication, respond to security-related concerns, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:30 AMThur11:00 PM - 07:30 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, delivery appointments, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures. Monitor and document the entry and exit of personnel, contractors, vendors, and delivery vehicles, directing authorized traffic to designated areas. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations and concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
