**Location of this role can be flexible within the UK** The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that larger battery storage “turnkey” projects provided by Tesla Energy are procured, built and commissioned to a high degree of quality and in an efficient, safe and cost-effective manner. The Project Manager provides support to the Business and Engineering team during the costing and specification phase and leads the appointment and management of contractors once projects are signed. The PM is then responsible for managing sites and contractors during the construction and commission phases. Experience of delivering and managing commercial / industrial electrical installations is required to perform this role. As well as possessing solid electrical engineering knowledge and the ability to determine the quality of a contractor’s work, this role also requires a strong understanding Health and Safety management. Besides a rock-solid work ethic and a strong team oriented personality, members of our team display creativity, passion, and a desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting technology landscape. What You'll Do
Provide support to the Tesla Energy team during the sales and specification phase of turnkey projects:
Be responsible for the identification and management of approved contractorsAssist in the preparation of tender documentsManage the tender processVisit and evaluate potential project sites as requiredMeet with customers / contractors as requiredComment on proposals and contracts as required Assist with the design and permitting phase of turnkey projects:
Support the approval / permitting process of new projectsLiaise with contractors, installers and customers as requiredBe responsible for the appointment of selected contractor(s) Manage the installation and commissioning phase of turnkey projects:
Liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered to the agreed timetableEnsure work is of a high quality, meets relevant codes, best practices and Tesla requirements, safety plans & documentation; inspect sites and enforce H&S compliance as necessaryEnsure projects are delivered cost effectively and to budget Work with the wider Tesla Energy team to:
Gather and disseminate the H&S and regulatory requirements of the local marketProvide feedback from the design, installation and commissioning processPerform other duties as required What You'll Bring Relevant work experience, including significant first-hand experience of: selecting, procuring and managing contractors; management of high value commercial and industrial electrical projectsExperience of managing Health and SafetyRelevant H&S qualifications Knowledge of local codes and regulationsAn ability to prioritize and execute many tasks in parallelExcellent attention to detail and an ability to produce clear and concise written documentsProfessional fluency in English is required In addition the following knowledge or experience would be highly beneficial:
Experience of working with DNOs and facilitating grid connectionsElectrical Inspection and TestWorking with MV/HV , Tesla
