This role directs the daily work of Fori personnel and third-party contractors, coordinates site logistics, enforces the site safety plan, verifies labor and progress, maintains accurate field documentation, and drives the installation toward safe completion and customer acceptance. The position reports project status, constraints, resource needs, and escalations to the Installation Supervisor and Project Manager. Key Responsibilities Site Planning and Daily Execution Develop and maintain the site staffing plan by personnel, trade, shift, and planned work hours; confirm adequate supervision and contractor coverage. Conduct a brief pre-shift lineup meeting with Fori personnel and contractor supervision to review the daily plan, assign work by trade, discuss prior-shift issues, confirm attendance, and address safety or access concerns. Direct daily installation activities against the approved installation plan and coordinate mechanical, electrical, controls, piping, rigging, and third-party supplier work. Track plan-versus-actual progress, percent complete, milestones, and short-term lookahead activities; identify recovery actions when work falls behind. Identify material, access, utility, drawing, information, labor, and customer constraints and elevate them before they affect safety, cost, schedule, or acceptance. Site Logistics and Material Control Coordinate inbound shipments, unloading, material routing from the dock to the work area, setting equipment in place, and temporary storage or handling when immediate placement is not possible. Coordinate with the customer to define responsibility for site security, inventory control, storage areas, and protection of Fori, contractor, and customer property. Confirm required drawings, site spares, tools, equipment, utilities, and third-party supplier support are available when needed. Maintain orderly work areas and verify contractor housekeeping, debris removal, and touch-up obligations are completed. Safety and Equipment Control Deliver or coordinate site-specific safety orientations and badge requirements; maintain orientation, Job Hazard Analysis, and toolbox-talk records. Hold and exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed; report incidents and near misses the same day in accordance with company and customer requirements. Manage equipment power states, including Power Off, Power On, Teach, E-Stop, and Moving/Try conditions, and coordinate lockout/tagout requirements with the customer plant team. Communicate emergency contacts, site rules, restricted areas, and escalation procedures to assigned personnel. Contractor Oversight and Scope Control Direct contractor work and verify daily manpower by trade, start and finish times, hours worked, and time sheets before sign-off. Confirm contractor scope, timing plan, staffing levels, supervision, and work boundaries against the Bid Responsibility Matrix or other approved scope documents. Identify and document out-of-scope work, extras, delays, and impacts; obtain the required customer acknowledgment or approved Change Order Request before work proceeds when required. Monitor contractor performance for safety, quality, schedule adherence, housekeeping, and completion of assigned obligations. Quality, Punch List, and Acceptance Verify installed work against current layout drawings, schematics, installation documents, Fori standards, customer standards, and approved project requirements. Maintain redline markups of mechanical and electrical drawings and return them to the appropriate internal team for final updates. Maintain and drive the site punch list through verification and closure. Understand the project acceptance plan and acceptance criteria; coordinate testing, corrections, documentation, and customer review required to obtain sign-off. Site Communication and Reporting Maintain a visible site communication board showing the current schedule, plan-versus-actual progress, detailed task checklists, work-area layout, open issues, customer and contractor contacts, and emergency contacts. Complete the Daily Field Report and lookahead, including personnel by trade, Fori and contractor staffing, hours worked, work accomplished, problems encountered, customer delays, issues beyond Fori control, and near-term priorities. Maintain and distribute the open-issues list at least every two days, or more frequently when project conditions require it. Maintain the installation schedule in the approved scheduling tool, document changes, and distribute current information to project team members. Compile and issue a weekly summary to the Project Manager and Installation Supervisor covering progress, labor, schedule status, constraints, delays, open issues, extras, risks, and required decisions. Interface daily with customer contacts regarding access, power, production constraints, site conditions, schedule, and other installation needs; immediately elevate critical issues through the site communication plan. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred. Five or more years of installation or skilled-trades field experience, including at least three years of on-site installation experience; prior lead or site-supervision experience preferred.
