Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality & Regulatory Compliance Specialist to manage product and process compliance activities within a manufacturing environment. This position serves as a central point of contact for customer, supplier, government, and other external questionnaires and information requests involving regulatory compliance, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and sustainability.

The specialist will work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to collect, review, validate, and maintain regulatory documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience with product compliance regulations, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple programs, requests, and deadlines simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Questionnaires and Information Requests

• Serve as the primary contact for customer, supplier, government, and other external questionnaires, surveys, assessments, and compliance-related information requests.
• Research and respond to routine questions involving products, materials, manufacturing processes, supply chain practices, sustainability, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with internal subject-matter experts in Quality, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Environmental Health and Safety, Human Resources, and other departments.
• Collect, validate, document, and communicate accurate information for specialized or technical requests.
• Develop and maintain a centralized library of completed questionnaires, approved responses, supporting documents, and compliance information.
• Monitor incoming requests, establish priorities, track deadlines, and ensure responses are complete, accurate, properly reviewed, and submitted on time.
• Identify recurring requests and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and response times.

Product and Regulatory Compliance

• Manage compliance programs involving REACH, RoHS, California Proposition 65, PFAS, TSCA, and other applicable product, chemical-safety, and restricted-substance regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and evaluate their potential impact on products, materials, suppliers, and manufacturing operations.
• Collect, review, and validate supplier declarations, Safety Data Sheets, full material disclosures, regulatory certifications, and related compliance documentation.
• Work directly with suppliers to obtain missing documentation, resolve compliance questions, and address incomplete or conflicting information.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and current compliance records, databases, and supporting documentation.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory inquiries, customer requests, and compliance reporting.
• Provide training and guidance to employees and internal departments regarding regulatory requirements and compliance processes.

Quality Engineering Support

As workload and priorities permit:

• Participate in new-part introduction activities and lead Production Part Approval Process submissions for new or modified parts.
• Support validation and PPAP activities, including First Article Inspections, performance or functional testing, and report preparation.
• Assist with PPAP and validation requirements for purchased materials and components.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform calibration, verification, and functional checks on instruments, gauges, and measurement equipment.
• Maintain calibration schedules, records, certificates, and supporting documentation.
• Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives involving quality, compliance, and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• At least two years of experience in regulatory compliance, product compliance, quality, manufacturing, environmental compliance, supply chain, or a related field.
• Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of regulations such as REACH, RoHS, California Proposition 65, PFAS, TSCA, or similar product and chemical compliance requirements.
• Ability to research, understand, and interpret technical and regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collect information from multiple sources and translate complex regulatory or technical details into clear, accurate responses.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, documentation, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple compliance programs, questionnaires, projects, and deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with suppliers, internal subject-matter experts, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reviewing supplier material declarations, full material disclosures, Safety Data Sheets, restricted-substance data, or regulatory certifications.
• Experience completing customer compliance questionnaires, supplier assessments, regulatory surveys, or similar external information requests.
• Experience developing or maintaining compliance databases, document-control systems, or centralized regulatory repositories.
• Experience providing training or guidance related to regulatory or quality requirements.
• Familiarity with calibration programs, measurement equipment, calibration schedules, certificates, and recordkeeping.
• Experience supporting PPAP submissions and related documentation, including inspection data, control plans, FMEAs, and validation records.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and manufacturing quality processes.
