Location: Midland, MI

Shift: 10 Hour Days / 1-2 Call Days Per Week / Every 4th Weekend

Pay: #####780/week - #####940/week

On Call Rate: ##### for this position

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Facility Specific Requirement: Cannot accept local candidates that live within 50 miles of the facility.

Job Summary

Under the general direction of nursing leadership, the Senior First Assistant RN (RNFA) collaborates with surgeons and healthcare team members to achieve optimal outcomes for surgical patients. Utilizing clinical judgment and skills acquired through RN licensure and specialized First Assistant training, the RNFA provides safe and competent surgical first assisting services. This role bridges nursing leadership and care delivery, adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and the nursing service care delivery model. The RNFA practices in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements and maintains knowledge and competence reflective of current nursing practice. This position fosters innovation and futuristic thinking by incorporating evidence-based practice and research findings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.
• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Utilize clinical judgment to perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality care.
