About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Virginia Start Date: July 7, 2026
Location: Hopewell, Virginia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required with at least one Friday and one Monday per 4-week schedule; no on-call required Highlights: - 22-bed Emergency Department with vertical space for surge capacity, serving a diverse patient population- 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with strong team support including charge nurses, techs, medics, and secretarial staff- Meditech (EDM) EMR system with Phillips & GE monitoring equipment and Level 1 Rapid Infuser- Perform a wide range of emergency procedures including cardioversion, central line placements, cardiac arrests, Code Stroke and Code Sepsis protocols, pacemaker interrogation, and standard ER interventions- Collaborative environment with approximately 50 emergency department team members- Potential to float to freestanding emergency department location (approximately 15 minutes away) Requirements: - Active Virginia RN license or ability to obtain- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required- Strong IV skills with both adult and pediatric populations (must-have)- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Trauma experience and TNCC certification preferred- Meditech experience preferred Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a dynamic emergency department team that values professionalism, accountability, and patient-centered care.
