About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Virginia Start Date: August 3, 2026
Location: Hopewell, Virginia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends (every other weekend required, at least one Friday and one Monday per 4-week schedule); no on-call required Highlights: - Join a 22-bed Emergency Department with vertical space capacity serving a diverse patient population- Work alongside a collaborative team of approximately 50 staff members with 1:4 patient ratios- Perform a wide range of procedures including cardioversions, central line placements, cardiac arrests, code stroke protocols, and code sepsis protocols- Utilize Meditech (EDM) electronic medical records system with Phillips & GE monitors and Level 1 Rapid Infuser equipment- Opportunity to float to a freestanding emergency department location approximately 15 minutes away- 13-week contract with potential for extension Requirements: - Active Virginia RN license or compact state license- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required- Strong IV skills with both adult and pediatric populations (essential)- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Trauma experience and TNCC certification preferred- Meditech experience preferred- Ability to work every other weekend with schedule flexibility Why It's a Great Opportunity: This Emergency Department position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment where your clinical expertise will make a direct impact.
