About the Position

Number of Staff: Approximately 50. Day Shift Composition: 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 Nurses, 1 Technician, 1 Medic. Night Shift Composition: 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 Nurses, 1 Secretary, 1 Technician/Medic. Patient Ratio: 1:4. Type of Equipment: Phillips and GE Monitors, Level 1 Rapid Infuser, EMR Meditech. Typical Procedures Performed: Cardioversion. Central line placements. Management of cardiac arrests. IV insertions, EKGs, and other basic ER skills. Pacemaker interrogation. Code Stroke protocol. Code Sepsis protocol. Suture and abscess setup. Best Personality Fit: Team player. Energetic. Professional and respectful to both patients and team members. Ability to hold self and others accountable. Patient-centered and focused. Excellent attendance. Ability to adapt quickly to change. Floating Area: Potentially to a facility approximately 15 minutes away. Dress Code: Teal top with black or teal bottoms. Weekends and On-Call: Every other weekend, with at least 1 Friday and 1 Monday during a 4-week schedule. No on-call required.
