Endodontic Dental Assistant

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking an Endodontic Dental Assistant to work at a facility in Alexandria, VA. Pay Rate: $43 / hour

Duties: Job Summary As an Endodontic Dental Assistant you will play a critical role in root canal and related treatments by preparing treatment rooms, assisting the endodontist during procedures, supporting patient care, and handling related administrative responsibilities. Job Responsibilities: -Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control. -Assist the endodontist during root canal and related procedures, including suction, irrigation, and passing instruments. -Take and process dental radiographs/CBCT scans, review patient histories, and document treatment notes accurately. -Educate and support patients before, during and after procedures, including clear post-op instructions. -Coordinate with front office on scheduling, referrals, and follow-up communication with patients and referring to dentists. -Manage supplies and equipment, including inventory ordering and upkeep of endodontic materials. -Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and safety regulations while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience: -Familiarity with dental software and charting systems.

Education: Required Education: -Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program. OR -One year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.

Required Certifications & Licensure: -X-ray certification. 1-2 years experience.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure: -Dental Assistant Certification.
