About the Position

Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – Maryland

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland

Schedule: Four 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend required, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, 36 guaranteed hours per week, willingness to float to IMC as needed

Highlights:

• Intensive care unit specializing in trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neurological patient populations
• 24-bed unit with daily census of 18 patients and comprehensive interdisciplinary support
• Epic charting system required; 24-hour orientation provided
• Advanced procedures including CRRT, intra-aortic balloon pump, and intraventricular drains
• 13-week contract with one pre-approved time-off request available
• Local candidates accepted with adjusted compensation; pending licensure considered

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Maryland or pending approval
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in critical care settings
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital and trauma experience (Level I or II) preferred
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
• Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive medication titration, and post-surgical care
