About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer to play a pivotal role in advancing its mission to disrupt the cycle of poverty and improve outcomes for children and families. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the organization's three pillars of educational equity, health equity, and financial stability. This includes cultivating and managing relationships with government entities, funders, and corporate partners to secure financial support and in-kind resources. The Chief Development Officer will also work closely with the leadership team to ensure that the organization's goals are met and that the impact of its work is effectively communicated to stakeholders. Applicants for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should have a proven track record in fundraising, with experience in major gift solicitation, grant writing, and event planning. A deep understanding of the social issues related to poverty and a passion for the mission of the organization are essential. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to engage and inspire others, as well as strong leadership and management skills. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, and a Master's degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a network of contacts in the philanthropic and corporate sectors and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic environment.
