Job Description
A growing steel fabrication company in Shawnee is looking for a dependable Saw Operator to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build experience in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial saws to cut steel and metal materials to specified sizes
- Measure materials accurately using a tape measure and other measuring tools
- Read and follow work orders and production specifications
- Load, position, and secure materials for cutting
- Inspect materials and finished cuts for accuracy and quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Assist with other manufacturing duties as needed
- Manufacturing, warehouse, or machine operating experience preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery and steel materials
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- $14/hour starting pay
- Day shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Monday-Friday Schedule
- Hands-on manufacturing environment
