RN Charge Nurse - Baylor - Full-Time | PRN

The Staff Pad

Job Description

The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization in Russellville; AL and we are seeking a dependable and experienced RN Charge Nurse to provide leadership during assigned shifts, ensure effective team coordination, support staffing needs, implement hospital policies, and serve as a key resource for staff.

This role collaborates with leadership ((Directors, Nurse Mangers, Unit Managers) and internal departments to resolve operational issues and ensure high-quality patient care

Schedule: Full-Time | PRN (Nights)

Responsibilities

Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities
Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient needs effectively
Administer tube feeding and manage patients' nutritional needs as required
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients
Provide urgent care services and respond to emergency situations promptly
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive case management plans
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management strategies
Facilitate patient care by resolving interdepartmental issues

Requirements

Current Alabama RN license; BSN preferred
Must complete Hospital-based ACLS and PALS within one year of employment
Proven experience in a charge nurse or leadership role within a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of triage protocols and urgent care procedures
Experience with case management and outpatient services is advantageous
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff
