Writing Tutor - Learning Center (Bethlehem or Online)

Writing Tutor – Learning Center (Bethlehem or Online) Part‑time (approximately 10 to 25 hours per week). Responsibilities Support student success by using a personalized approach to help students deepen their understanding of course material and develop effective learning strategies. Hold individual or small‑group tutoring sessions on campus and/or online. Participate in Learning Center staff meetings, ongoing professional development activities, and promptly respond to correspondence from Learning Center staff. Maintain complete and accurate tutoring records. Obtain and maintain College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) certification within one year of employment; additional duties may be assigned as required. Qualifications Thorough understanding of the subject(s) to be tutored. An associate degree or higher in the discipline or a related field from a regionally accredited institution. B‑grade or above in each course the candidate intends to tutor. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; strong analytical skills; patience; and a genuine desire to help others learn and succeed. Previous experience as a peer or professional tutor is a plus, but not required.
