Night Shift Critical Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a full-time night shift assignment in a multi-specialty medical-surgical community hospital ICU. The provider will work alongside attending physicians to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Managing critically-ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting.
• Collaborate with attending MDs to develop plan of care and communicate dynamic changes throughout shift.
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions.
• Order entry (Cerner EMR) and thorough documentation of History and Physicals, Consultations, Event / Follow-up Notes and Procedure Notes.
• Interpret diagnostic testing
• Communicate with ICU nursing staff
• Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds each shift
• Perform invasive procedures including, but not limited to, central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths and introducers) and arterial line insertions.

Qualifications:

• If NP candidate they MUST BE ACUTE CARE CERTIFIED ACNP or PA with valid national and state licensure
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an ICU setting
• Proficiency with ICU procedures specifically central and arterial line insertions - case logs will be requested during credentialing
