The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Summary
The Parish Administrative Assistant at St. Gianna Catholic Church is a part time position that provides essential clerical and administrative support to ensure the efficient daily operations of the parish office. This role serves as administrative support for the pastor and parish secretary, while supporting the mission and values of the parish through professionalism, organization, and effective communication.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the pastor and administrative team.
- Greet visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and confidential documents in accordance with parish policies.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents as requested.
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with diocesan, parish, and legal guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive, mission-aligned culture centered on the Catholic faith and values.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Prior experience in an administrative or office support role (preferred). Strong organizational skills and the ability to be proactive and self-motivated. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain attention to detail. High level of proficiency with computers, office software, data entry, and record keeping Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with staff and parishioners.
