About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: 2 years of nursing experience required License: State license in Iowa and Illinois required Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Previous experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines. Knowledge and experience in administering and titrating medications such as amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, insulin, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, Isuprel, milrinone, and argatroban. Completion of a skills checklist within one year of submission date. One supervisory reference required at time of submission. Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge. The traveler may be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses. The role involves the provision and management of care to patients. The candidate will be expected to work some summer holidays. Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility, except for certain locations where local addresses may be accepted with a reduced rate. Experience with critical medications and technology is essential for this position.
