At Cloudland Dental in Cleveland, we are an upbeat & fun pediatric dental office offering general dental care to patients under the age of 21. Our goal is to provide a good experience for the child so they will continue to visit the dentist as an adult! We are seeking a reliable Team member to work 30 -38 hours per week. Coronal Polishing Certification is a must have.

Our Registered Dental Assistants greet and seat patients, review medical history and prep the patient for dental procedures. You will need to know how to operate x-ray equipment and be familiar with dental terminology, chairside assisting, & patient charting.

Job Type: Full-time 38 hours/week Part-time is available

Office Hours: Monday/Tuesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Wednesday: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Thursday: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Friday: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Pay: from $20/hour

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great "Impression" on Our Team

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.

Qualifications

Certifications:

• Registered Dental Assistant (TN)
• CPR Certification Required
• Nitrous Oxide Monitoring
• Radiology Certifications
• Coronal Polishing Certification
• Sealant Certification (preferred but not required)
• Proficient in chairside assisting
