Position Summary

As a Shift Leader , you're the heartbeat of our restaurant operations. You'll support the management team by leading shifts, motivating team members, and ensuring each guest leaves happier than they arrived. You set the tone for energy, efficiency, and hospitality-helping Biscuit Belly live up to its mission of serving up the South's best brunch with a side of good vibes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead by Example: Maintain a positive attitude and inspire the team to deliver excellent service and uphold Biscuit Belly standards.
• Shift Management: Supervise daily operations during assigned shifts, including opening/closing duties, cash handling, and delegating tasks.
• Guest Experience: Ensure every guest receives top-notch service and a memorable dining experience.
• Team Support: Coach and train team members, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and fun.
• Operational Excellence: Monitor food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Problem Solving: Handle guest concerns or operational challenges calmly and effectively.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between team members and management to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of restaurant or retail leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain).

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to effectively staff restaurant to meet customer needs.
• Understand how to motivate and influence team members and internal management staff.
• Identified, developed, and retained talent for succession plan and company growth.

• Ensure restaurant is completely staffed with train competent associates.
• Build a strong work environment and morale.
• Provide leadership, support, motivates and directs and retains high caliber staff.

• Overseas daily operations of the business.
• Ensures the overall delivery and quality of biscuit belly's products to customers.
• Institute and follows cash handling policies and procedures.
• Accurate ordering of inventory.
• Knowledge of all systems, task, duties in FOH employees including but not limited to baristas, cashier, support, shift lead, kitchen lead, and GM.
• Knowledge and execution of complete food inventory management system.
• Evaluate the physical condition and cleanliness of the kitchens, dining rooms, bar areas.
• Ensure that the occupational safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, as well as company safety and security policies are being adhered to.
• Communicate strategy and results to employees.
• Maintain top quality assurance and customer service standards.
• Report key results to directors.
• Engage with directors and organizational strategic planning.
• Full understanding of profit and loss statements ability to assess and recommend improvements.
• Execute restaurant goals within the appropriate metrics COGS and labor etc.
• Increased sales and run excellent controllable profit margins.
• Increase foot traffic and customer retention.
• Have a keen understanding of community events, culture; and customer trends.
• Conduct regular associate team building meetings.
• Vender partnerships and relationships.
